Read insights

Understand your project's methodology metrics, status distribution, work type mix, and workload by assignee in Skopo's Insights view.

The Insights view shows methodology-specific metrics alongside cross-cutting analytics like status distribution, work type mix, and workload by assignee.

Before you start

  • All project members can view Insights.
  • Metrics are calculated per methodology. A Scrum project shows Sprint Goal Success, Burndown, and Predictability. A Basic project shows Completed Work. See /docs/concepts/metrics-and-insights for how metrics are computed.
  • Metric snapshots are cached per filter set; the freshness badge (Fresh or Cached) shows when a snapshot was last computed.

Steps

Apply filters

  1. Open your project and click Insights in the project sidebar.
  2. The subtitle line shows the methodology name, number of filtered events, and number of filtered items (for example, "Scrum measures · 0 filtered events · 2 filtered items").
  3. Use the filter controls in the metric bundle header to narrow results:
    • Range: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or All time.
    • Status: All status, or a specific workflow state (Backlog, To Do, In Progress, In Review, Done).
    • Type: All types, or a specific work item type (Epic, Issue, Feature, Bug).

Read methodology metrics

  1. The metric bundle shows a grid of metric cards. Each card displays:
    • The metric label (for example, SPRINT GOAL SUCCESS, BURNDOWN, PREDICTABILITY, COMPLETED WORK).
    • A freshness badge (Fresh or Cached; an Low n badge appears if the sample size is insufficient).
    • The metric value (a number or percentage).
    • A short description.
    • The sample size (n=).
  2. Click a metric card to expand the drilldown panel below the grid. The drilldown shows:
    • An explanation of what the metric measures.
    • When it was computed and the aggregation method.
    • Contributing items — the specific work items that fed this metric calculation.
    • Contributing events — any metric events (such as sprint completions) that contributed.
  3. Click a contributing item in the drilldown to open its detail drawer.

Read the summary analytics

  1. Below the metric bundle, four summary tiles show: Total items, Done, In progress, and Blocked across the filtered item set.
  2. The Status distribution chart shows each workflow state as a bar with item count and percentage.
  3. The Work type mix chart shows the breakdown of work item types.
  4. The Workload by assignee section shows each assigned teammate's total estimated points with a progress bar.

Result

You have a clear picture of how your project is performing against methodology-specific targets, which items and events are driving each metric, and how work is distributed across the team.
