Getting started

Create a workspace, set up your first project, and add your first work item.

This guide walks you through the three steps you need to start tracking work in Skopo: creating a workspace, creating a project, and adding your first work item.

Create a workspace

A workspace is a shared environment for your organisation or team. All projects live inside a workspace.

  1. Sign in to Skopo.
  2. If you do not already belong to a workspace, you will see a prompt to create one. Enter a name for your workspace and confirm.
  3. After creation, Skopo takes you to the workspace home page. The top of the page shows your workspace name and confirms your role (for example, Owner workspace). From here you can manage projects, members, methodologies, and integrations.

Create a project

Projects are where your team's work lives. Each project runs one delivery methodology.

  1. From the workspace home page, select New project.
  2. The new-project wizard opens with three steps: Details, Template, and Configure. Enter a project name in the PROJECT NAME field and a short key.
  3. On the Template step, choose a methodology — for example, Scrum, Kanban, or Shape Up. Each option shows the work-item types, views, and rituals it includes.
  4. Complete the Configure step and select Continue. Skopo creates the project and takes you to its Dashboard.

Once the project is created, the sidebar shows the views configured for your chosen methodology.

Add your first work item

  1. Open the Backlog or Board view in the project sidebar.
  2. Select New item.
  3. Fill in the title and any required fields for your methodology's primary work-item type.
  4. Save the item. It appears in your backlog or board column.
